About
Yvette Bounds is a Digital Media student experimenting with textiles, as well as sensory and motor technology, currently based in Leeds, UK. Combining such practices, she explores the invisible emotional infrastructures derived from online communication and embedded within messaging platforms.
Artist Statement
My practice explores the sensory dimensions of digital communication, focusing on messaging platforms and reduced-cue interactions. By translating digital interactions into handmade sensorial artefacts through textiles and interactable electronics, my work investigates how online experiences can become physical and embodied, challenging the assumption that online relationships are entirely immaterial.
